Wednesday, December 17 at 7:30 pm

Additional meetings will be added in the future.

The purpose of this committee is to propose revised solution to planning for Silver Lake Township.

Mr. Harvilchuck recommended Sections 4 and 5 of the NTC Comprehensive Plan be reviewed.   Also, Article 3, 5 and 7 of the Municipal Planning Code should be read.  Copies of both will be obtained.

Community Planner, Carson Helfrich, will be meeting with the committee to answer questions.  What is the difference between Zoning and SALDO?  What is the law for Zoning? Why some ordinances cannot work without Zoning.  What are the advantages and disadvantages of Zoning?  It is important to remember that this needs to benefit the community at large.  There are a lot of changes coming to the area with the gas leases and we need to be prepared.

Public comment will be limited during the work sessions so that progress can be made in a timely manner; however, written comments are always welcome and will be taken into consideration.  There will be meetings when public comments will be taken.  The public will be kept up to date on the process and the facts about community planning through the Silver Lake Township website.

At each session, the previous session will be reviewed before a new section is started.  Changes will be made and will be emailed/sent out for review.
