The township solicitor has drafted a new ordinance regarding the establishment of the Silver Lake Township Planning Commission.  The original ordinance #6, short titled “to Create a Planning Commission” & enacted in 1974  is out of date and not in conformance with the current Municipalities Planning Code.  Additionally the terms became out of sync when the Commission was expanded from 7 to 9 members in 2003 and reduced back to 7 in 2005 and need to be officially corrected.  Other than properly reorganizing the Planning Commission and straightening out the terms, it does not create any new regulation regarding land use.
