Silver Lake Township Police Report

January

Alarm/Security: On 01/19/16 Silver Lake Township Police responded to a security alarm located on Donovan Road. Upon arrival by police, it was found to be a false alarm. Chief Timothy Burgh was the responding officer.   

Domestic Dispute/Liberty Township: On 01/20/16 The Gibson State Police requested that Silver Lake Township Police respond to an active domestic with weapons in Liberty Township. Gibson State Police also had several cars responding to this incident. Chief Timothy Burgh was the responding officer. This case is still active.  

Stolen Vehicle: On 01/24/16 The Silver Lake Township Police took a report of a stolen vehicle that was taken from a residence located on Lyons Road. The victim reported that a person known to her had taken her vehicle and not returned it. The vehicle was located in Little Meadows by the Gibson State Police on 01/25/16. Chief Timothy Burgh is the investigating officer. This case is still active.

Animal Complaint: On 01/27/16 Silver Lake Township Police were dispatched for a report of a dog that tried to bite a waste disposal worker while they were collecting garbage. Dog Warden Baker was notified of the incident. It was later found that the dog’s electronic fence was not working at the time. Chief Timothy Burgh was the responding officer.

Warrant Service: On 01/28/16 Silver Lake Township Police were notified that a person that is wanted for a burglary that was committed in Silver Lake Township had been taken into custody in New York State by The Vestal Police Department. The individual was charged as a fugitive from justice and is currently in The Broome County Jail awaiting extradition to Pennsylvania. Chief Timothy Burgh is the arresting officer for the burglary. This case is still active.

Brush Fire: On 02/02/16 Silver Lake Township Police were dispatched for a brush fire that was located on Woodland Road. Silver Lake Fire Company arrived on scene and was able to put out the fire. Chief Timothy Burgh was the responding officer.   

Assist other Agency: On 02/02/16 Silver Lake Township Police were requested to assist the Montrose Police Department with a disorderly person that was trespassing at a residence in Montrose Borough. Officer Levi Tiffany was the responding officer.  

Trees Down: On 02/03/16 The Silver Lake Township Police were dispatched for trees down on The Quaker Lake Road near Patton Road. Upon arrival by police, traffic control was conducted while The Silver Lake Fire Company cut up the tree and removed it from the roadway. Chief Timothy Burgh was the responding officer.

Warrant Service: On 02/04/16 Silver Lake Township Police responded along with The Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office to an incident in Silver Lake Township. Chief Timothy Burgh was the responding officer. This case is still active

911 Hang Up: On 02/09/16 Silver Lake Township Police were dispatched for several 911 hang up calls that came from a residence located on State Line Road in Silver Lake Township. Upon arrival it was discovered that there was a problem with the phone line. Chief Timothy Burgh was the responding officer.

Alarm/Security: On 02/18/16 Silver Lake Township Police were dispatched to a residence located on the Brackney Hill Road for a security alarm. Upon arrival by police it was found to be a false alarm. Chief Timothy Burgh was the responding officer.

Silver Lake Township Police responded with The Silver Lake Fire Company or Silver Lake Ambulance a couple of times during the months of January & February.
