Francis Fruehan said there are townships that do not read checks but Silver Lake Township has always read all the checks. John Demaree said he felt it was a good idea to read them. Vera Scroggins also felt it was good to read the checks. She also questioned payment made for medical coverage. It was explained it covers employees only and does not provide for family coverage. Vera Scroggins asked about the Act 14 Notices. Francis Fruehan explained that when an area is disturbed DEP required certain paperwork be completed. If an access road is to be located off a township then the gas company must contact the township for a driveway permit. If the access road is off a state road, they must contact the state for a driveway permit. Vera Scroggins asked when was the time an Act 13 Notice was received. Evan Everitt explained the last Act 13 Notice was received last July.

Evan Everitt gave the road report. The winter continues to keep the road crew busy. The company that had been providing the brine used for dust control will no longer be providing it. Evan Everitt said he is looking at other options. It was asked if they winter road salt is the same salt that is used for dust control. Evan Everitt explained they are different materials. The winter salt is rock salt and is only used on paved roads – sections of John C McNamara, Donovan Road hill on the SR 167 end, and the hill on Arrowhead Lake Road. Rock salt cannot be used on the stone/oil roads
